LEARN HOW TO PLAY ROLLER DERBY

What:

Twice a year we offer a 4 month intro class where we teach you everything you need to know to start playing Roller Derby!

When:

Our intro class usually starts in September and February. You can find the events on Facebook

What to bring:

SKATES, a “can-do-attitude”, comfortable clothes and a water bottle. You MUST wear knee- and elbow pads, wristguards and a helmet (bike or skater).

We have some loan gear, we will bring to the first couple of trainings, but we cannot promise we have enough. We recommend you rent (or buy!) skates and safety gear at Mills on Hauser Plads - remember to mention it's for Roller Derby.

Who can join?

We encourage everyone over 18, regardless of skill level and gender to come try this amazing sport for themselves!

If you are under 18, you can join our juniors.

FAQ!

Q: How much does it cost?

A: The current price is DKK 125 per month.

You skate some trainings before you register as a member, so you get to try before you buy ;)

Q: What equipment do I need to play?

You MUST wear knee- and elbow pads, wristguards, a helmet and a mouthguard.

And quad skates, obviously.

Q: How often do you train?

A: We offer three basic trainings a week and three veteran trainings.

Q: What if I'm not good enough after 4 months?

A: There's no rule that says when you have to be ready to play. It is possible for most people to do it in a single intro course with hard work and dedication, but we also know that people learn at different paces. If you aren't ready after 4 months you can simply continue on our basic skating level until you're ready.

Q: Is there anything I need to prepare?

A: Please find your inner Pippi Longstocking. She said: "I have never tried that before, so I think I should definately be able to do that." Roller Derby is not a place where you talk yourself down. We believe in you, so you might as well believe in yourself!
